Q: How to service the front fender on Lincoln Navigator?
A: A proper front fender service requires the removal of three components including the cowl grille as well as jack handle and air deflector by unscrewing them. Disconnect the headlamp (13008) first by taking out the headlamp mounting clips (13N129) followed by disconnecting its electrical connectors. The radiator opening cover needs removal through the removal of its pin-type retainers. After that remove all bolts securing the LH, center and RH radiator grille opening panel reinforcement together with the bolt which connects the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement to the front fender. The installation begins with removing the lower rear screw and pin-type retainer from the front wheel opening moulding followed by taking off the front fender splash shield (16102) after unscrewing its pin-type retainers. The installation starts with removing the front bumper cover to front fender nuts and concealed radiator grille opening panel reinforcement nut. After positioning the radiator grille opening panel forward you can take out its inner fender stuffer through pin-type retainer removal. Remove the front fender (16005) through unscrewing its bolts. Installation of the new fender requires performing the removal steps in reverse order.
