    Q: How to service and repair the throttle cable and linkage on Lincoln LS?
    A: The service procedure for throttle cables and linkage starts with disconnection of the Accelerator Cable from the throttle body lever together with the accelerator cable bracket. Push and turn the fitting's lock tab counterclockwise 90 degrees before lifting the cable up through the bracket. Begin by removing the hush panel by first disconnecting the retaining clip from the accelerator cable and then taking out its nut along with pin-type retainers and lamp connection. Begin the accelerator cable removal by uninstalling the hush panel and following with bolt removal and cable disconnection of the component. Take care when working with the cable core wire to prevent either kinking or nicks. Installation requires following the opposite steps of the removal process with a note that the accelerator cable assembly needs to be joined in two parts before its complete installation.
