How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Lincoln MKZ?

Service of the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor requires a car in NEUTRAL position with usage of a hoist. Service of the LH catalytic converter starts with bolt and nut and heat shield removal. Reassemble these components with a torque of 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The first step is to remove the rubber grommet cover before you disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector. You need to loosen the bolt holding the CKP sensor and afterward remove the sensor followed by tightening the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) during reverse procedures. The installation ends with a reverse order execution of removal steps.
