What precautions should be taken when servicing the fuel injector and fuel rail on Lincoln MKZ?

During the maintenance of the fuel injector and rail, do not use open fires because of the flammable mixtures. Depress fuel pressure, disconnect battery and remove upper intake manifold. Use fuel-resistant O-ring seals, lubricate them and reassemble the assembly, making sure all connections are tight before reconnecting the battery.
