Service and repairs for the radiator start with emptying the cooling system liquid. You must start by taking the cooling fan motor and shroud out before detaching the power steering hose retainer from the radiator. Begin by disconnecting the handles of the upper radiator hose along with its retainer from the radiator before proceeding to detach the radiator-to-degas bottle hose. The procedure when servicing vehicles with automatic transmission includes disconnecting both transmission cooling tubes from the radiator while maintaining 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) torques when reattaching the tubes. Unfasten the lower radiator hose before moving to lift off the tabs from the upper radiator support and directing the radiator to face the engine. The A/C condenser must be detached from the radiator using the pin-type retainer while squeezing its tabs till separation occurs. Then remove the radiator. The process for replacing the radiator consists of performing the opposite steps for removal and then filling and bleeding the cooling system.
