How to service the rear tail light assembly on Lincoln MKZ?

Start the rear lamp assembly servicing operation by taking off the pin-type retainer followed by placing the luggage compartment trim panel to the side. Two steps follow each other: remove the three nuts holding the rear lamp assembly while also disconnecting its electrical wiring. The installation process requires the reverse of removal steps followed by nut tightening to 6 Nm (53 lb-in).
