The first step to service throttle cable and linkage repair begins with the bolt removal of accelerator control splash shield followed by splash shield removal. The first part of service and cable-repair work starts with removing the throttle lever
Accelerator Cable by rolling forward the lever and removing its end piece. The illustration depicts the speed control cable for clarity but does not show it. To free the accelerator cable from its bracket use the tabs for depressions. Proceed to detach the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal along with its shaft. Push the accelerator cable into the engine compartment as you squeeze its lock tabs while working in the passenger compartment. You can then remove the cable from the vehicle. The installation process should reverse all removal steps.
