How to service and repair the ignition switch on Lincoln Navigator?

You should initiate ignition switch servicing by taking off the steering wheel. Users can lower the tilt release handle to reach the second screw which allows them to remove the lower steering column shroud including its screws. The removal process requires the screw behind the multi-function switch to be taken out before the upper steering column shroud can be detached. The first action involves removing a bolt then pushing the release before pulling the multi-function switch to the side. As the first step disconnect the electrical connector from the ignition switch before removing it. Reinstall the spring beneath the ignition switch on the lock rod of the steering column during installation according to the reverse process order.
