Service and repairs on coil springs begin by lifting and supporting the vehicle followed by removing its front wheel and tire assemblies. The service begins with shock absorber lower mounting bolt removal as well as the shock absorber itself by disassembling the nut, retainer, and grommet. The front coil spring can be compressed using a Coil Spring Compressor until the spring is free in its front spring insulator before removing it by removing the bolts and nuts and pivoting the front suspension lower arm. Mount the compressed front coil spring into the vehicle while avoiding lower arm bolt tightening until the vehicle lowers to ground position with the suspension carrying weight. Begin by inserting the front suspension lower arm and fastening it through bolts and nuts before taking out the Coil Spring Compressor. Place the shock absorber through the upper shock mount before installing the grommet and retainer along with the nut which should be securely tightened. Replace the shock absorber lower bolts then place the front wheels with tires. Finish by lowering the vehicle then tighten the bolts which secure the front suspension lower arm.
