  A: Perform any exhaust heat shield work for the Catalytic Converter and Muffler only after you have cut off Air Suspension electrical power to stop air spring changes which might cause vehicle movement while performing hoisting or jacking or towing actions. Put the vehicle in NEUTRAL position on a hoist before switching off the air suspension control. Confirm that the exhaust system contains all its heat shields intact and undamaged. The heat shield installation requires worm clamps according to two available specifications - FOTZ-5A231-A or W705949-S300. Cut away the extra worm clamp ear after installing it. New heat shields or essential exhaust system components should be used for replacing any missing or damaged heat shields. Finally, lower the vehicle.
