How to Properly Maintain the Exhaust Manifold on a Lincoln Town Car?

The correct approach to service the right exhaust manifold starts with disconnecting the negative battery cable. The drive belt tensioner should be rotated clockwise for removing the drive belt. Before working on the right exhaust manifold disconnect both the A/C compressor electrical connector and the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor electrical connector. Begin by freeing the bolt which maintains the transmission cooler tube bracket before leaving it aside. Then remove all bolts securing the A/C compressor to position it aside with the bracket. Start by detaching the exhaust pipe from the manifold and proceed to remove all eight nuts before taking out the exhaust manifold together with its gasket. The reverse steps from removal should be used to finish the installation.
