The first step to service the moonroof or sunroof panel demands that you push the opening panel glass to its fully-closed position. The four screws on the roof opening panel glass require removal but users should tighten them to 4 Nm (35 lb-in) when replacing the glass. Gently remove the roof opening panel glass from outside the vehicle before taking off its seal and the roof opening panel glass itself. Prepare the new seal by placing its seam at the center point of the rear side of the roof opening panel glass. The reverse order of removal should be applied to reinstall the roof opening panel glass by correctly aligning it.
