Begin by draining the coolant then loosen the bolts and remove the belt before detaching the bolts along with the water pump pulley. Then remove the water pump to perform cleaning of the mounting surface. It is essential to avoid rotating the water pump housing after its installation because it causes damage to the O-ring seal which results in leaks. Install a new O-ring seal and apply Premium Engine Coolant E2FZ-19549-AA, F5FZ-19549-CC which functions in Oregon or CXC-10 that fulfills Ford Specification ESE-M97B44-A in Canada before installation. You should start installation by doing the opposite steps of removal.
