How to service the thermostat housing on Lincoln Town Car?

A proper start to servicing the thermostat housing requires draining the cooling system. Then work to disconnect the two bolts that secure the coolant outlet adapter and its hose before setting them aside. During reinstallation secure the two bolts at 25 Nm tension strength (18 ft. lbs.). First you must remove the O-ring seal together with the coolant thermostat from the intake manifold before checking the O-ring seal for replacement with a new unit. You will reach installation completion by undoing the removal steps before you refill and perform a cooling system bleed operation.
