The windshield resealing process requires the removal of cowl panel grille and overhead console if installing such components. Detach first the LH and RH front door weather strips before removing the LH and RH A-pillar trim panels and the sun visors accompanied by their retaining clips. Lower the front mid-section of the headliner partially before supporting this region with proper material. Clear the existing urethane adhesive edge along the glass on windshield interiors at the top and sides as well as the exterior at the bottom using glass cleaner. Use the specified length of urethane adhesive applicator tip together with a high-ratio caulk gun operated by electricity or batteries to spread the urethane adhesive properly while creating one continuous glue line free from any openings. Apply a continuous urethane adhesive adhesive bead from inside the windshield top and sides and from the exterior on its bottom edge. The urethane adhesive needs at least one hour of curing time before leak inspections; additional adhesive should be added if leaks appear. Reposition the cured front part of the headliner while reinstalling the left hand (LH) and right hand (RH) sun visor clips combined with both A-pillar trim panels and front door weather strips on their respective sides. Reinstall the overhead console followed by the cowl panel grille when applying to the process.
