When the latches become free you can lift marginally upward from the front edge of the rear seat cushion to separate it from the floor before pushing it ever so slightly toward the rear to release the rear retainers. The installation of the rear seat cushion requires positioning the frame wire across the rear retainers while performing the backward steps of removal.
