A worker should begin by loosening the wheel nuts and releasing the parking brake before raising the vehicle for service and repair of the parking brake cable. Protect the exhaust pipe while eliminating the wheel before taking off the rear muffler. The procedure begins by removing the rear section of exhaust system heat shield while uneasing the rear cables from the equalizer. To work on rear disc brake parking cables begin by pulling back the parking brake lever then unhook the cable from its lever connection followed by removing the conduit retaining clip before taking out cable and conduit.
