Service of the Air Flow Meter/Sensor requires users to disconnect the battery ground cable and detach the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor electrical connector and air cleaner outlet tube. First remove the four bolts that connect the MAF sensor to its place. Altering the MAF sensing elements inside the airflow bypass can trigger unit failure of the system. The MAF sensor unit consists of sensor and body components that require calibration before they should be replaced together. The installation process should be performed in the reverse order of the removal steps.
