How to Service the PCV Valve on Mercury Grand Marquis?

The service process for Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve begins with tube disconnect from quick connect coupling and electrical connector removal from the valve unit. The process of PCV valve removal requires a new replacement valve because shearing the plastic retaining ears during extraction will cause permanent damage. The removal process will be reversed to set the new PCV valve after removing the old valve through rotation.
