The first step requires removal of the instrument panel finish panel followed by disconnecting its electrical connector. Identify the console finish panel before removing it then lower the shifting bezel to disconnect the TCS harness. To obtain access to the shift handle remove the two retaining screws followed by removing the handle. The indicator bezel should be lifted to take out the bulb while releasing the interlock cable housing clip to disconnect the interlock cable. Cut the shift cable connection from the shifter assembly at its point before disconnecting the housing clip using for the shift cable. The electrical connector can be separated after releasing the push pin retainer. The procedure calls for removing the vacuum harness connection from the parking brake release component.
