Service and repair operations on the rear brake disc must start by securing the rear disc
Brake Caliper in a stable position without relying on the brake hose connection. You should perform the rear disc brake caliper removal without severing hydraulic lines. Service personnel should remove the adjustment hole access plug before using an adapting tool for
Parking Brake Shoe retraction at the opposite end of the access plug slot which faces the backing plate during rotation. You should measure the brake disc for proper specifications during hub-mount brake lathe maintenance. Replace the old brake disc with a new one if the readings show it is not suitable for use. Use Brake Parts Cleaner PM-4 PM-4 or equivalent product to eliminate any rust and remove foreign matter both from the brake disc and wheel as well as wheel hub. Before putting on the rear brake disc and restoring the rear disc brake caliper apply High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant XL-2 or an equivalent product fulfilling Ford specification ESE-M12A4-A to the hub flange together with pilot area.
