The service operation for front door window regulator motors begins by setting the front glass window to its complete upward position then securing it with tape. For service you must remove the front door trim panel alongside the screws which hold the speaker before disconnecting its electrical connection. Caution must be taken to remove screws which allows for placing the driver door module (DDM) to a safe location. The technicians should first remove the electrical connector then place the upper and lower watershields aside from their positions. The replacement task starts with removing screws from the front door window regulator motor while also taking the motor itself out of position with the regulator assembly still attached to the vehicle. Separate the window motor from the regulator partially before pressing the release tab on the regulator to take out the window regulator motor. The opposite steps should be used to install the system.
