How to service the wiper arm on Mercury Marauder?

Before servicing the wiper arm users need to lift the windshield wiper pivot arm fully upright before removing it by unlocking the locking tab. The installation should begin by following the opposite order of removal but requires pushing the locking tab completely to its open (unlatched) position before inserting the pivot arm onto the mounting arm and pivot shaft. Check that the key on the pivot arm head matches correctly with the keyway on the shafts to make proper alignment. In some cases the keyway can be safely taken out.
