How to Service and Repair the Front Brake Line on Mercury Mariner?

Using manufacturer-approved clean brake fluid during front brake flexible hose maintenance is necessary but the practice of using drained fluid should be avoided because it might cause system contamination and damage. Brake fluid poses a risk to painted and plastic surfaces so immediate water cleaning is necessary to prevent damage. But before working on hybrid vehicles the mechanic should kill battery power by removing fuses 24 (50A) and 31 (50A) at the battery junction box to block electric charging and mechanical system pressurization of the brakes. Start the replacement by taking out the wheel and tire before getting rid of the brake flexible hose retaining clip. The brake tube fitting needs disconnection from the brake flexible hose while you must torque it to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) when installing it. The brake flexible hose needs detachment from both the strut bracket and the caliper before reinstallation by tightening the caliper connection to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft). The service ends with reversing the removal steps while performing a brake caliper bleeding operation.
