Mercury Montego Air Duct Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an Air Duct on Mercury Montego?
A: The first step to service the air inlet duct requires dismantling the instrument panel cross beam. Start by removing the electrical connector of the air inlet door mode door actuator then unfasten the wire harness from the air inlet duct. The installation of the air inlet duct requires proper tightening of the bolt to 9 Nm (80 lb-in) torque. Correct removal of the air inlet duct requires you to start by taking out the screws from both front locations then proceeding with the removal of the remaining five screws to extract the entire component. The installation occurs when following the opposite steps of removal.
