The first step for servicing or repairing the air inlet duct requires removal of heater core and evaporator core housing components. First disconnect the electrical connector of the air inlet door mode door actuator before detaching the wire harness from the air inlet duct. Start by untightening and then removing the two screws securing the front air inlet duct then proceed to remove the remaining five screws on the duct. You should then extract the air inlet duct. Follow the opposite steps during air inlet duct installation.

The first step for servicing and repair of the intake air duct involves checking that the brake aspirator tube sits fully within the air cleaner outlet pipe to avoid vacuum leakage. The PCV tube must be disconnected along with the brake aspirator tube from the air cleaner outlet pipe. Unclamp the two fasteners while taking out the air cleaner outlet pipe from the system. After reversing the removal steps you should tighten the clamps to 5 Nm (44 lb-in).
