How to service and repair the cruise control switch on Mercury Montego?

The first step to work on the cruise control switch involves taking out the driver air bag module. Release the speed control switch by taking out its 2 screws while disconnecting the electrical connector. Turn the screws to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) to install the part then follow the opposite steps to put everything back.
