The first step for ignition lock cylinder servicing involves disconnecting the battery power. The first step requires removal of the lower steering column shroud by taking out its three screws followed by removal of the steering column cover. Place the key into the ignition slot while positioning it in the ACC setting. Use an appropriate tool along with which to exert pressure on the release pin for removing the ignition cylinder. The installation process finishes with the opposite steps used for removal.
