Installation of the new nuts should start with catalytic converter-to-Y-pipe nut removal followed by parallel exhaust flange maintenance through alternating 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) torque applications. Move on to the removal and waste of the two Y-pipe-to-underbody catalytic converter nuts before torqueing new nuts using the same specification. The Y-pipe-to-underbody catalytic converter gasket needs replacement with a new gasket after its removal and disposal.
