  A: Service and repair of the brake pedal assembly must occur when adjustable pedals are placed in their most forward setting. Start the work by taking out the steering column reinforcement from the instrument panel. Follow the provided sequence to remove required components while implementing only the mentioned procedures for each part. Process the redundant self-locking pin cover by removing its upper bolt from the steering intermediate shaft then moving the shaft to a side position. When you work on Brake Booster nuts position the brake booster forward so brake booster studs can pass through the brake pedal assembly. Last in the process the drive cable assembly must be released from its fittings on both the motor and the transmissions. The reverse process should be followed to put the components back in place.
