Initial steps in servicing the auxiliary heater core should start with a leak test when there are suspicions about leakage before the removal process begins. The service begins by taking off the LH quarter trim panel before following a certain sequence for component removal steps. Before removing heater hose clamps always place heater core tubes above an appropriate drain pan which will stop coolant from entering the vehicle. Detach the heater hoses from the heater core component. Complete engine cooling system filling must follow the installation process.
