How to Service and Repair an Air Duct for outlet on Mercury Mountaineer?

To maintain the intake air duct, remove the wiring harness retainer first out of the air cleaner outlet pipe. Next disconnect the crankcase breather hose. Loose the clamps and take off the outlet pipe. In order to get it back, just go through the steps in reverse.

How to service the intake air duct on those equipped with a 4.0L SOHC engine on Mercury Mountaineer?

Detach wiring harness retainer of air cleaner outlet pipe to service the intake air duct of 4.0L SOHC engine vehicles. In the 4.6L (3V) engines, release the vacuum hose of the brake booster. Next, detach the crankcase breather hose, take off the outlet pipe and repeat the steps during installation.
