How to Service the Crankshaft Position Sensor on a 4.0L SOHC Engine on Mercury Mountaineer?

In order to service the CKP sensor of a 4.0L SOHC engine, lift the car in a neutral position. Disassemble the electrical connector of sensor and loosen the bolts. Install new sensor, fasten bolts up to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) and wiring should not be touching the battery cable. Turn the process back to complete.
