How to Service and Repair the EGR Valve System Module on Mercury Mountaineer?

In order to fix the EGR system module, unplug electrical and vacuum connection, then unplug upper fitting to the exhaust manifold, loosening it to 40 Nm before securing it. Install a new gasket, with the raised circle facing intake, clean surfaces and reassemble, tightening to 25 Nm.

How to Service the EGR Valve on Mercury Mountaineer?

In order to service the EGR valve, place the vehicle in neutral position on a hoist and take out the air cleaner outlet tube. Take the components out of the case in a designated sequence and install them in the same sequence. Wipe off the EGR valve sealing surfaces prior to installation.
