A technician should start the accelerator pedal repair by disconnecting the accelerator assembly from the throttle body. Start the service by extracting the accelerator cable and accelerator bracket clip and taking out the complete assembly. The pedal neutralization process begins by separated the accelerator cable from the throttle linkage and unfastening it from the spark plug cover area. After disconnecting the accelerator cable from the pedal you must both detach the cable housing from the bulkhead and free the cable assembly. The cable assembly will benefit from an attached feed line when performing installation tasks. To reinstall the assembly follow all previously performed uninstallation steps in reverse order.
