Throttle Body

A service or repair of the throttle body needs the initial step to be removing the battery ground cable. The service starts by removing the air cleaner outlet pipe after which you will remove the upper snow shield bolt along with its pin-type retainer to separate the upper snow shield. Reinstall the bolt with a torque of 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Cable removal from the throttle body must begin with disconnected accelerator and speed control cables before ending with disconnecting the throttle position sensor electrical connection. Check the throttle body gasket by removing its four bolts before making necessary replacements. The completion of the throttle body installation requires reversing the removal steps while the bolts receive a torque setting of 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

Detach the transaxle vent tube.

Begin by removing the air cleaner outlet pipe and the upper snow shield by taking out the upper snow shield bolt and pin-type retainer, then lifting off the shield.
