Safety during throttle body service requires avoiding all activities related to open flames and smoking in fuel-related areas since highly flammable mixtures present a risk of personal injury. The throttle body bore and plate area contain special coating material which cannot be cleaned. To begin the process it is essential to first remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet tube assembly after which you need to take off the three engine appearance cover bolts. Detach both the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector and accelerator cable and speed control cable and return spring. Before placing the throttle body you must detach its components then unfasten the bolts to replace the throttle body gasket. Regular installation of this component follows the direction method of reverse removal steps.
