Start the front brake caliper service and repair by disconnecting the disc brake caliper and fixing it in a vise for maintenance. The piston bores should not be honed because excessively deteriorated components require replacement with new brake disc calipers. The correct order of disassembly must be followed and reassembly requires the use of the reversed disassembly steps. When removing the piston use limited air pressure delivered in small bursts to prevent a sudden piston discharge. A piece of wood should be placed in the caliper as you feed air pressure through the bleeder screw port at a moderate rate to extract the piston.

Ensure the vehicle is in NEUTRAL and positioned on a hoist.

Disconnect the brake tube-to-wheel cylinder fitting and tighten it to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs) upon reinstallation.

With care, avoiding contact with eyes, and wash hands thoroughly after use.

Install the piston seals and dust boots, followed by the brake caliper piston.

Apply moderate air pressure in short bursts through the bleeder screw port while placing a piece of wood in the caliper to prevent uncontrolled release.

Take out the wheel cylinder bleeder screw.

It should be tightened to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

Set the brake hose aside, discard the two copper washers, and plug the brake hose to prevent fluid loss.

Begin by removing the disc brake caliper and draining any remaining brake fluid.

Reverse the removal procedure.

Secure the caliper in a vise, place a block of wood between the caliper bridge and the pistons, apply low air pressure to the fluid port to force the pistons out, and then remove the block of wood along with the pistons.

Exercise caution as brake fluid contains harmful substances; avoid contact with eyes and wash hands thoroughly after handling.

Ensure the vehicle is in NEUTRAL and positioned on a hoist.

Reverse the removal procedure and bleed the brake system.

Begin by disassembling it without the need for removal.

Wash the area with water immediately.

Remove the two wheel cylinder bolts and the wheel cylinder itself.

No, do not reuse drained or bled brake fluid, nor use fluid from an open container or contaminated fluid.

The assistant should pump the brake pedal and maintain firm pressure on it.
