Detach the power steering cooler clamp after unfastening the clamp from the fluid reservoir. The first step requires you to remove the LH front splash shield after unscrewing it combined with pin-type retainers while the lower radiator air deflector becomes detachable through pushpin removal. The service process requires removal of both power steering cooler hose bracket bolts along with the hose braces before tightening the bolts to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft). The steering line clamp plate nut requires tightening to 25 Nm when reinstalling. A clockwise rotation of the steering line clamp plate breaks the power steering cooler connection to the steering gear while you should discard the O-ring seal. The power steering pressure and cooler line requires new O-ring seals when you detach it from the steering gear for any repairs. The installation process ends by reversing removal steps while filling the power steering system.
