Side Mount, Rear

The first step to replace the engine mount involves setting the vehicle to NEUTRAL gear and suspending it on a hoist. The Installer should place the Engine Support Bar before removing the bracket bolt from the engine mount while tightening this bolt to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) for reinstallation. The Engine Support Bar needs to elevate the engine up by 25 mm (0.98 in) before removing the three nuts and engine mount bracket along with tightening all parts to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) torque specifications. Follow the step of removing the three bolts that secure the engine mount and tighten them to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft) when reinstalling the mount. You should execute the opposite steps for finishing the installation procedure.

Remove the splash shield retainers and the left-hand splash shield.

Remove the rear insulator bolt.

Tighten them to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).

Position the cross brace and install the nut, tightening it to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).

The bolt for the mount and the 2 bolts for the brace.

Position the vehicle in NEUTRAL on a hoist.

Place the vehicle in NEUTRAL and position it on a hoist, then turn the ignition to the OFF position.

Remove the through-bolt and washer of the transaxle rear support insulator, ensuring that this is tightened to 115 Nm (85 lb-ft) when reinstalling.

Tighten it to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.).

Complete the installation by reversing the removal procedure.

Remove the transaxle rear support insulator bolt, which should be tightened to 90 Nm (66 ft. lbs.) upon installation.

Remove the through bolt and the LH transaxle support insulator.

Reinstall the cross brace with the 4 bolts, tightening them to 115 Nm (85 ft. lbs.), and finally, reinstall the left-hand splash shield along with its 7 retainers, tightening them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Position the cross brace and install the nut, tightening it to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
