Begin the rear brake pad service by checking brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir until it reaches half the maximum capacity if necessary. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. The brake caliper pistons should be retracted through the caliper sight hole carefully to prevent damage to their boots and pistons. Also avoid letting the brake caliper depend from the flexible hose because this requires proper tool support. Screw your work to remove the two brake caliper bolts before placing the caliper to the side. Discard both spring clips and replace the brake pad when it has exceeded its specifications. A single brake disc pad kit includes the required linings for both sides thus you must install new brake pads and spring clips. There exists a suitable device for forcing the brake caliper pistons into position through the caliper bore followed by brake caliper installation and bolt tightening to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.). Testing brakes should be performed after filling the brake master cylinder reservoir with clean fluid.

Always install new pads in complete axle sets.

Ensure that only clean brake fluid meeting the manufacturer's specifications is used, avoiding any previously drained fluid to prevent contamination and damage.

If a test drive has revealed vibrations during braking or if the brake discs are heavily scored due to worn pads.

Approved DOT 3 motor vehicle brake fluid should be used, as any other type can cause permanent damage to brake components.

Flush eyes with running water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention if irritation persists.

One brake disc pad kit contains the necessary pads and pad clips for both sides.

Tighten the brake caliper bolts to 32 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).

Remove the wheel and tire.

Use a suitable suction device to remove brake fluid from the master cylinder and clean the support bracket and slipper surfaces.

Avoid prying in the caliper sight hole, as this can damage the pistons.
