Throttle Body

You must start the throttle body service by removing the outlet pipe of the air cleaner. The next step involves removing electronic throttle body coolant hoses and following it with hose plugging to prevent leakage. Unplug the electronic throttle body electrical connector followed by unbolted removal of the throttle body. The installation procedure calls for securing the bolts at 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Due to the press-in-place installation of the gasket in the manifold you should discard the old throttle body gasket while removing it from service. When reassembling the throttle body cleanup the gasket seating surfaces and proceed with putting on a new throttle body gasket.

A service of the throttle body requires initial air cleaner outlet pipe removal together with electronic throttle body electrical connector disconnection. First disconnect the electronic throttle body electrical connector then remove the bolts securing the throttle body before extracting it from the vehicle by avoiding any contact to the bore or plate with objects. Fitting the bolts during reinstallation should be done at 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Dispose of the throttle body gasket before cleaning the manifold sealing areas for a proper installation reverse procedure. For the final step you should use a new throttle body gasket during reassembly.

Service of the electronic throttle body must be performed on the assembly level as individual component replacement is not possible. The first step requires uninstalling the air cleaner outlet pipe. The technician must disconnect early build electronic throttle body coolant feed and return hoses but must close off the coolant hoses afterward.
