Engine coolant drainage together with heater hoses removal from the heater core must happen first before servicing begins. Begin by unscrewing the instrument panel finish panel while followed by the procedure to disassemble the instrument panel reinforcement and reinforcement bracket using their bolts. Replace the wire harness next to its screws after unscrewing them. You should remove the heater core cover by uninstalling its eight screws before carefully taking out the heater core without leaking coolant. The proper installation process involves performing the removal steps in reverse order while conducting water lubrication of the coolant hoses as required. As the last step complete the process by filling the engine cooling system.

The service of the heater core begins with clamping off all water hoses followed by disconnecting them and removing the clamps. The closet door should be lowered after both stops have been released. The procedure to take out the panel/floor door vacuum control motor requires disconnecting the vacuum line and unscrewing the motor prior to rotating it so the lever disengages. Handle the fragile panel/floor door lever with extreme caution. The electronic blend door actuator assembly can be removed when the electrical connector is disconnected together with its two screws. Unfasten the seven screws then disconnect the wiring harness retainer from the heater core cover by keeping the cover in a vertical position to safeguard the heater core housing. During heater core replacement, manually place the blend door into correct position so the electric methods stay off to minimize potential damage. A gasket must be placed between the housing and cover before reinstalling them. Reinstallation follows the removal steps and ends with filling the engine cooling system.

Remove the bolts securing the instrument panel reinforcement and the reinforcement bracket.

Remove the screws and position the wire harness aside.

Remove the heater core cover by unscrewing the screws.

Reverse the removal steps and fill the engine cooling system.

Take out the heater core.

Remove the seven screws and disconnect the wiring harness retainer from the heater core cover, ensuring to raise the cover vertically to avoid damaging the heater core housing.

Disconnect the vacuum line, remove the screws, and rotate the motor to disengage the lever.

Clamp off the hoses, position the constant tension clamps, and disconnect the hoses from the heater core.
