Check the sway bar link ball joints and boots for signs of wear before changing them with new components when required. You must first discard the subframe bolts before lowering the rear of the subframe 5 to 8 cm (2 to 3 inches) to gain access to the sway bar bracket retaining bolts. The sway bar bushings require inspection for wear because replacement becomes necessary if you detect signs of damage. The installation of new subframe bolts should be done manually using hand tools while excluding the use of power tools.
