The servicing process for the second row 40 percent bench seat begins by removing the second row 40 percent seat from the 60/40 bench seat which is followed by removal of the backrest. Caution is required when you split the seat upholstery from the hook-and-loop strip to prevent the strip from detaching from the seat cushion foam pad. First unclip the J-clips before breaking the hook-and-loop system and finally remove the seat cushion trim cover. Proceed to remove both the cushion foam pad along with the cushion pad supports. The assembly process requires reversal of all steps that were used for disassembly.

The nuts should be tightened to 22 Nm (16 lb-ft).

Release the J-clips, separate the hook-and-loop fasteners, and remove the hog rings along with the cushion trim cover.

22 Nm (16 lb-ft).

It allows access to the latch-to-cushion frame bolt and the hinge-to-cushion frame bolt, which need to be removed.

Remove the two lower outboard latch bolts and tighten them to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) upon reinstallation.

Complete the installation by reversing the removal procedure.
