Service and repair procedures on the cruise control servo should begin with electrical connector detachment. After pressing the locking tab users can turn the speed control cable cap into position to detach it. The speed control cable must be separated from the speed control servo pulley by applying soft pressure to the retaining spring while removing the speed control cable slug. First remove the bolt which secures the speed control servo and bracket before disassembling the bracket from the speed control servo. Apply the opposite steps of removal to put the speed control cable cap back into place while checking that the rubber seal sits correctly onto the speed control cable cap.

The procedure for repairing and servicing cruise control servo starts with disconnecting its electrical connector. You must first push down the tab locking mechanism before turning the speed control cable cap to detach it from position. The service and repair of the cruise control servo start with disconnecting the speed control cable from the speed control servo pulley while carefully pushing the retaining spring and removing the speed control cable slug. Ignite the speed control servo bracket by removing its securing bolt followed by disassembling the speed control servo from the bracket using bolts. The rubber seal should be fully placed into position on the speed control cable cap before proceeding with installation. Installation steps must reverse the order of disassembly.

First disconnect the electrical connector from the speed control actuator before removing the speed control cable cap by pushing its locking arm while rotating the cap in a counterclockwise direction. The spring retainer should be depressed to move the core wire end out of the speed control actuator pulley so the speed control cable may be extracted. Starting with the removal of the servo requires first the speed control actuator bracket bolt before proceeding to separate the speed control actuator bracket and the actuator itself. Before reinstalling replace the rubber seal onto the speed control cable cap with full seating and proceed with the opposite steps of removal.

Ensure the rubber seal is fully seated onto the speed control cable cap.

Depress the spring retainer and slide the core wire end out from the speed control servo pulley.

Disconnect the battery and the electrical connector of the speed control actuator.

Push in the locking arm and rotate the cap counterclockwise.

Push in the locking arm and rotate the cap counterclockwise.
