Fan Shroud, Upper

The cooling fan shroud servicing process starts with taking out the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe before removing the coolant expansion tank. Carefully disassemble the power steering fluid reservoir by removing its retaining bolt and place it to the side while you tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) when reattaching it. After unfastening the two bolts you can disconnect and extract the upper fan shroud but reinstall it at 7 Nm (62 lb-in). When servicing the fan clutch installation, disconnect its electrical connector at the same time remove the wrench bracket bolt from the harness and ensure a torque of 7 Nm (62 lb-in) on reinstallation. Proper caution must be taken to stop loading the fan clutch coil from the side because it could lead to damage. The removal of the cooling fan needs both the Fan Pulley Holding Wrench and the Fan Clutch Nut Wrench to achieve the correct torque specification of 55 Nm (41 lb-ft) during reassembly. The last step following this procedure is the removal of two lower fan shroud bolts while reinstalling them with 7 Nm (62 lb-in) torque before reversing all removal steps.
