The use of refrigerant compressor oil (mineral oil) for R-134a refrigerant system O-ring sealing remains appropriate, but its addition to the R-134a refrigerant system for compressor lubrication should be done with PAG refrigerant compressor oil. A receiver/drier replacement becomes necessary only in cases when a failed A/C compressor or damaged receiver/drier shows signs of contamination.
