Suspension Control Module Installation and Repair Tips for 2008 Lincoln Navigator

  • Q: What precautions should be taken when handling the Suspension Control Module during installation and calibration on 2008 Lincoln Navigator?
A: There is the vehicle dynamics module (VDM) which is sensitive to static charges. To remove it, disconnect the VDM connectors, and then remove the bracket nuts. On re-installation, screw the nuts to 8 Nm. To calibrate to a new VDM the ride height sensor data must be cleared and a pneumatic test performed clearing the DTC C1990 and C1991.
