How to service the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the Turbine Shaft on 2000 Ford Contour?

In order to service the TSS sensor, elevate the car and put a drain pan under it. Unplug the electrical connector, take out the sensor and check the O-ring seal. Use petroleum jelly on the new O-ring, put on the sensor, reconnect, test the transmission fluid, and test the gear positions.
